The Junky Car Club was established in the spring of 2006 when Mike Foster decided to sell his fully loaded Infiniti G35 sports car to drive a junky 1993 Toyota Camry. As an act of rebellion against consumerism and with the desire to give more to worthy causes, Mike began to enlist his friends and associates to join him in this experiment of driving with less and giving more.

On Thursday (12/4), Matt and Carol talked with Jonathan Golden, founder of Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee. Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee is on a mission to provide excellent coffee, support sustainable economic development, and to be a catalyst for reconciliation in Rwanda. We invite you to partner with us to "Drink Coffee. Do Good."

Ads proclaiming, “Why believe in a god? Just be good for goodness’ sake,” will appear on Washington, D.C., buses starting next week and running through December. The American Humanist Association unveiled the provocative $40,000 holiday ad campaign Tuesday.  Here is a link to the full story.

We thought we’d take this opportunity to let you respond to that question - so, please leave your comments below but remember, we’re not trying to scold or argue, instead we are trying to educate others about our faith. Please keep your comments to two or three sentences.

We will compile your reasons why you believe and send them to the American Humanists Assoication. Forward this on to any friends or family members that you think might want to participate.

This fall will mark the 35th anniversary of Matt Stockman winning the Gold Medal in the Greater Chicago Tetherball Championships. In 1973, a young Matt was an unknown in the tetherball world out of Mrs. Elsworth's 2nd grade at PS 411. All that changed when the unranked Stockman went on an amazing run to become the "Titan of the Tether." His record of 20 lamdangles in a single match still stands today.
